"UFOs" was inspired by the Jason Isbell song "The Life you Chose." In it, Isbell asks "Are you living the life you chose? Or are you living the life that chose you?" The song was born from that. I do have a beautiful life that I indeed did choose, but UFOs represents the longing for adventure, travel, and recognition that I always hoped my songwriting would give me. I've gotten comfortable in the suburbs, but the music business never stops its siren song.
