I was 40 years old when my love Joey and I had a baby together. Shortly after our Charlie was born though, I got some test results back that made it appear that my cancer had returned. I got so worried that I wouldn't get to see my little girl grow up. I added the 18 years of her childhood to the 40 years I'd already lived and got 58. My goal then became to live until at least then so I can be there for her when she needs me. Luckily, the tests were a false positive. I'm still in remission, still hoping to live past 58.
