My Beautiful Battle Scars includes four of Kevin Milner’s most introspective songs, showing his growth and evolution as a man, a father, and as an artist. Bitingly sarcastic at times, emotional, and always poignant, Milner seems to have the unique ability to let the listener see the world through his eyes. There is a weight to his songs as the listener goes on these journeys with him.
These songs were recorded as part of a college project for students at the International College of Broadcasting in Riverside, Ohio. Kevin was selected for some free recording time in a contest they held. The students did an amazing job with everything and their infectious enthusiasm added to the energy of the recordings.
